2019 Nigeria Office Impact Report

Our 2019 Local Office Impact Report (Nigeria) is out!
2019 was our first full year of operation in Nigeria, and a busy one for our team. From just four Endeavor Entrepreneurs a year ago, we are now supporting 11 Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Our local Endeavor Mentor program now includes 27 impressive business leaders in Nigeria, who together contributed to nearly 90 hours of expertise donated to Endeavor Entrepreneurs and candidates this year.
This year, we supported Endeavor Entrepreneurs in Nigeria and from other countries to extend their operations into Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Egypt, and to explore capital-raising and commercial opportunities as far as Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. We facilitated 1-on-1 mentoring for Endeavor Entrepreneurs on scaling talent & culture, capital raising, operational implementations and growth strategies, facilitated access to talent programs by organisations like Bain, INSEAD, MIT and Africa Leadership Group, and made dozens of investor introductions.
In 2020, we will deepen the Endeavor network in Nigeria, and focus on creating an immersive experience for Endeavor Entrepreneurs and Endeavor Mentors, by launching more local programs, establishing more local partnerships and building out the Endeavor Investor Network in sub-Saharan Africa, in collaboration with Endeavor Kenya and Endeavor South Africa.
We expect that 2020 will also mark the first investments into Endeavor Entrepreneur-led companies in Nigeria by Endeavor Catalyst, Endeavor’s rules-based co-investment fund. Over the past seven years, Endeavor Catalyst has made more than 120 investments, facilitating frictionless capital for Endeavor Entrepreneurs in many of the markets where we operate, and supporting first investments by many global funds outside of their traditional markets.
