Selection Criteria

Selection Process
Endeavor Nigeria proactively searches for the most promising high-impact entrepreneurs in Nigeria and the wider region. We rely heavily on a variety of sources and particularly like strong referrals from within the Endeavor network, especially Endeavor Entrepreneurs and mentors.

Following the preliminary screening, and based on a recommendation by an Endeavor Nigeria staff member, the team conducts a one-hour interview with the candidate to assess the individual’s viability against our selection criteria.

Three to four Endeavor Mentors conduct individual, one-hour interviews with each candidate, probing the business, its scale potential and the entrepreneur’s personal qualities.

Held in Lagos four times a year, over a half-day session, a six-member panel comprised of Endeavor Nigeria Board-Members and Mentors interview candidates that have successfully passed through the SOR stage, deliberating and unanimously selecting candidates for the International Selection Panel (ISP)

The ISP is the final stage of Endeavor’s selection process. Over two and a half days, Mentors and business leaders from across Endeavor’s markets come together for panel interviews and deliberations to select each new cohort of Endeavor Entrepreneurs. ISPs are held eight times a year in different international locations.
